Calculate Your Building’s Climate Impact Using the SundaHus Logbook
What is a Climate Declaration?
A climate declaration is a report that presents the calculated climate impact caused by the construction of a building. It is based on calculations of greenhouse gas emissions linked to the construction phase, such as the manufacturing of building materials or transportation during the construction process.
Why is a Climate Declaration Made?
Creating a climate declaration is a legal requirement for most new buildings according to regulations from Boverket (the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning). The declaration can also serve as supporting documentation in building certifications—such as Miljöbyggnad or BREEAM—where climate impact from the construction phase is part of the evaluation criteria.
