iBinder Group acquires SokoPro, Finlands leading digital construction document management software

iBinder, the leading Nordic digital platform for information management in the construction and real estate industry, acquires SokoPro, Finland´s leading document management SaaS-solution for construction projects. The acquisition further strengthens iBinder Group´s market position in the Nordics.

The acquisition of SokoPro accelerates iBinder Group´s growth journey and expands the attractive service offering to pan-nordic customers. The seller is Grano, a content services company part of Panostaja Group.

SokoPro is the leading document management system for construction projects in Finland with cloud based SaaS service for managing, sharing and archiving information from the first steps of a construction project to end-to-end life cycle management.

    - SokoPro further strengthens iBinder Group and  the global potential for our highly efficient SaaS information management solutions. With the uninterrupted digital information flow that the expanded iBinder Group´s project platform creates, we can help our customers and their partners in our key markets to collaborate more efficiently - from the early stages of project planning to the long-term property management, alwayswith the building at the core, says Per Hedebäck, President and CEO of iBinder Group.

Earlier in the year, iBinder Group acquired Byggnet and also, as announced in November 2021, SundaHus which significantly complemented the Group´s offering.

    - With the SundaHus material database as an integrated part of our SaaS-platform, we can help property owners manage new requirements regarding climate declarations, material choices and the EU's Taxonomy for sustainable investments. The acquisition of SokoPro opens up for additional value creation and attractive cross selling opportunities in the Finnish market”, adds Per Hedebäck.

With simplicity as a guiding star, iBinder Group helps customers collaborate and share information through all phases of a property's life cycle; from procurement to planning, design, construction and administration. iBinder Group has grown by an average of 25% over the past 3 years and has been named Gazelle in several Nordic countries. Low productivity, high resource consumption and high climate and environmental impact are major challenges for the construction and real estate sector.

    - Becoming part of iBinder Group, the SokoPro product can be given further opportunities and world-class software development. Internationally, the Nordic countries are pioneers in the digitalisation of the construction industry, and this cutting-edge know-how is in demand in Germany and England, among others. This deal is a great opportunity for everyone involved in SokoPro's development and sales. We are happy that we at Grano can continue to sell this top product ”says Grano's acting CEO Kimmo Kolari.

Following the acquisition of SokoPro, iBinder Group will have 108 employees and sales of SEK 244 million. In connection with the transaction, SokoPro Oy will be established with eight employees within product development, customer support, marketing and sales support. Grano will continue as SokoPro's only retailer in Finland. The transaction will be completed at the end of January 2022.
