iBinder has also improved the user experience by making it easier to switch between different documents and drawings if several are open at the same time in the viewer. The new function reduces the need for excessive scrolling, so the required information can be found quickly and efficiently. This reduces the risk of errors that can occur when switching between different windows or programmes.

Improved collaboration via notes and comments

To promote better collaboration and communication within project teams, iBinder has implemented a useful notes and comments function. Users can now easily insert their thoughts, questions or suggestions directly in documents. It is also possible to tag other project participants in comments. When a user is tagged, they immediately receive a notification, which ensures that important questions or updates are not missed. This avoids delays in decision-making and ensures that all team members are kept up to date regarding project progress.

Simultaneous editing of Office documents

This function allows multiple team members to work on the same document at the same time, which increases efficiency significantly and reduces the time spent merging different versions of the same document. Regardless of whether it involves updating a project plan, fine-tuning a budget or collaborating on a presentation, the team can now work seamlessly together in real time. 

Checking out and locking files

To ensure data integrity and prevent conflicts during file editing, we have introduced a file check-out and locking function. When a user checks out a file, it becomes locked, meaning that other users cannot modify or update that file until it has been checked back in again. This function reduces the risk of accidental overwriting or loss of important changes. It also provides clarity about who is currently working on which documents, thereby further improving project supervision and coordination.
