Product updates May 2026
View Multiple BIM Models Simultaneously in iBinder
Coordinating different disciplines in a construction project has just become significantly easier.
With our latest update, you can now open and work with multiple BIM models simultaneously directly in the iBinder viewer. Whether you work with architecture, structural engineering, or MEP, you get the complete project picture in a single workflow.
Get the Full Context Instantly
In most BIM projects, information is divided into multiple models. Architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants often work in separate models that must later be coordinated to ensure everything works together.
Previously, users had to switch between models to review different disciplines. Now, you can load multiple models simultaneously and see how they interact in the same view. This makes it easier to understand the full picture, identify clashes, and carry out coordination with complete oversight.
Work with Models Together
This is not just about displaying multiple models at the same time.
All standard tools in the model viewer work across all loaded models. For example, if you create a section cut or clip the model across multiple planes, it is applied to the entire coordinated model. This makes analysis, reviews, and coordination much smoother when multiple disciplines are involved.
What's New?
With the new functionality, you can:
Load multiple BIM models simultaneously in the model viewer
Show or hide individual models with a single click
Work with architecture, structural, and MEP models in the same view
Use section cuts and clipping across all loaded models
Maintain orientation and context without switching between models
The feature supports all our standard file formats, including IFC, RVT, and DGN.
Improved Model Tree for All Users
At the same time, we have rebuilt the Model Tree to make navigation faster and easier, even if you work with only one model.
Improvements include:
Clearer structure and hierarchy
Search functionality for large models
Expand or collapse the entire model tree with one click
Improved visualization of floors and layers
This makes it easier to find the right objects and navigate even the most complex BIM projects.
Availability
The multi-model functionality is available for organizations with Pro and Enterprise subscriptions.
To add multiple models, the files must be located in the same folder and already converted for viewing in iBinder.
Now You Can Submit Feedback Directly in iBinder
What you think about iBinder matters to us.
That's why we've made it easier to share your feedback, ideas, and improvement suggestions. With our new feedback feature, you can provide feedback directly from the page you're working on, exactly when the idea occurs.
We want to understand what's working well, what can be improved, and which needs are most important to you. Your feedback helps us continue developing iBinder in the right direction.
Give Feedback When It Matters
Previously, you had to contact support or explain afterward where you encountered a problem or had an idea. Now, you can submit feedback directly from the page where you're working.
The new feedback tab is located along the right edge of iBinder and is always within easy reach, no matter where you are in the platform.
Two Simple Ways to Share Your Feedback
With the feedback feature, you can:
Write a message with suggestions, questions, or improvement ideas
Give a quick thumbs up or thumbs down on the page you're using
It only takes a few seconds to share a thought, but it can make a big difference in how we prioritize future improvements.
Feedback with the Right Context
When you submit feedback, our product team automatically receives information about which page in iBinder you were on. This makes it easier for us to understand the context behind your feedback and evaluate improvement opportunities more quickly.
Whether you want to report an issue, request a new feature, or tell us what's working well, we'd love to hear from you.
Want to Hide the Tab?
The feedback tab can easily be hidden via the display settings in the tab menu.
If you later want to enable it again, you'll find the setting under the Help menu in the navigation bar.
We look forward to hearing what you think.
